What are the parking options?

On-site valet parking is guaranteed to all of our hotel guests which means there is no need to reserve in advance. Enter from the O'Farrell Street entrance (260 O'Farrell Street). Covered parking with unlimited in & out privileges. $62.00 + tax per day; oversized vehicles are an additional $10.00 per day. Parking rates are subject to change at any time.

 

How far is hotel from airport and approximate cab fare?

The hotel is 14 miles from the airport, a cab will cost around $60 and take around 30 minutes depending on traffic. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) is also available from the airport with approximately a 33 minute ride. We are 2 ½ blocks from the Powell Street Station.

 

Does the hotel have an airport shuttle?

We do not have a free shuttle but our concierge will be happy to arrange transportation for you! Call the hotel directly or email at concierge@handlery.com.

 

Do rooms have air conditioning?

All guestrooms have heat and air conditioning with individual climate control.

 

When is Check-in and Check-out?

Check in is 3:00 pm, and check out is 11:00 am.

 

Do you accommodate Late Check-out or early Check-in?

We can accommodate early check-ins based on availability.  Late checkouts are also based on availability but may be subject to additional fees.  We offer complimentary  luggage storage for all arriving and departing guests.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

24 hours prior to arrival to avoid a first night room & tax penalty.  Please note that for special rates, packages and certain events, this policy is subject to change. 

 

Does the hotel have a restaurant?

We currently do not have a restaurant for dining and room service. 

 

Does the hotel have a pool?


Yes, we have an outdoor heated swimming pool open year-round from 8:00am-8:00pm

 

Does the hotel accept packages?

We’re happy to accept packages for guests. Please see below for our shipping instructions and package policy.   
Shipping Instructions:
Send your package to Handlery Union Square Hotel, Attention: (Guest’s Name), 351 Geary St, San Francisco, CA 94102.  
Package Policy:
-Any guest with 5 or more packages will be charged a $3 storage fee per package.
-Oversized packages include any package over 3ft. These packages will incur a fee of $15 each.
-Overweight packages include any package weighing or exceeding 15lbs. These packages will also incur a $15 fee each.
-Any package held for longer than 3 months, per guest request, will receive an initial $15 charge, followed by an additional $1 fee per day.

 

Is there a fee to use the Fitness Center?

No

 

Is there WiFi available at the hotel?

Yes, WiFi is available and included in all rooms and public spaces.

 

Is the hotel pet friendly?

Yes, please read our dog policy below to ensure your dog has a great stay.

  • Dogs and service animals only are permitted
  • A non-refundable dog fee of $25.00 a day will apply
  • A limit of two dogs per room
  • 40 lbs maximum weight
  • Dogs may not be left unattended in the room
  • Dogs are not allowed in food and beverage areas
  • Dogs must be on leash or in a carrier in all public areas
  • A $250.00 deposit will be collected at time of check in and will be refunded upon room inspection if no damage is discovered


Does the hotel have a business center?

Our business center offers four Internet-equipped workstations and a printer. Complimentary boarding pass printing is also available.

Do you have an early departure fee?

Yes, an early departure fee in an amount of up to one night’s room and tax may apply and is subject to change based on certain offers or packages.
